Getting Some Ice Giants Snacks to Beat the Summer Heat in Cebu

My friend and I were looking for a place to help us cope with the summer (which is extremely hot this year). Ice Giants (Desserts and Snacks) was our first choice this time. The establishment is located in The Strip along Osmeña Blvd in Cebu City.

Perhaps it’s in the name that makes the establishment appropriate for the summer. Ice… Giants. In fact, the establishment is popular for its gigantic serving of halo-halo and other cold creamy desserts on a humongous bowl as big as my face. *gasp*




But we didn’t order those gigantic desserts since they’re good for 5 people or more. It wasn’t practical for my friend and I to have that. So we settled for these…

Halo-Halo Giant, 98 Php

Don’t get confused with the name. This is the one-serving version of the popular Gigantic Halo-Halo, which costs around 400 Php or so. It’s a good treat especially during this extremely hot summer season.

Platter Fries, 195 Php

I haven’t had lunch when we got there, and it was already almost 5 PM. So I ordered something that I can munch on. This platter has three kinds of potato munchies (French fries, potato wedges and twisters) and three dips (sour cream, ketchup and cheese).

Cheesy Lasagna, 120 Php

Wanting a heavy meal (as if the potatoes aren’t heavy enough), I ordered this one. It’s delicious. But I think the size of the one served to me is just small. Or maybe the entire thing just sank. It’s delicious (did I say that already?). But with its price, I guess I would have great value with the next one…

Creamy Carbonara, 95 Php

This was my friend’s order. It looked quite a lot. With the accompanying bread (and with the price of this mouth-watering dish), I could have had my money’s worth if I had chosen it.

What do you think? If you will visit Ice Giants, will you be going for the gigantic desserts? The pasta? Or anything else? The establishment has a lot of desserts and snacks to offer though.
